Title: 1897 Botanical Prints, Azalea, Heath Varieties, and Sea Lavender
This remarkable set of four original botanical prints from 1897 showcases the black-anthered heath (Erica melanthora), azalea (Azalea indica), Australian heath (Epacris impressa), and sea lavender (Statice latifolia). These exquisite illustrations were published in *Favourite Flowers of Garden and Greenhouse* and reflect the scientific precision and artistic elegance of Victorian botanical art.
Each print features lifelike colors and intricate details, celebrating the unique beauty of these plants. The black-anthered heath presents clusters of delicate white flowers with fine foliage, while the azalea captivates with its lush, vivid red and pink blossoms. The Australian heath displays slender stems adorned with tubular yellow and crimson blooms, evoking a sense of exotic elegance. The sea lavender, with its broad green leaves and soft clusters of pale violet flowers, adds a touch of delicate charm to the collection.
These prints are in excellent condition for their age, retaining their vivid color and clarity. Perfect for framing, they will enhance any home, office, or gallery space with a timeless botanical aesthetic. Collectors of antique prints, garden enthusiasts, or admirers of natural history will appreciate this set as a unique and decorative addition to their collection, embodying both artistry and botanical wonder.
