Title: 1897 Botanical Prints, Persian Cyclamen and Jasmine
These two original 1897 botanical prints showcase the Persian cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum) and jasmine (Jasminum officinale), published in Favourite Flowers of Garden and Greenhouse. Exquisitely illustrated, they highlight the beauty and botanical intricacies of these beloved plants, making them a perfect addition to any collection of antique prints.
The Persian cyclamen is depicted with its delicate pink and white flowers arching gracefully above lush, rounded green foliage. This elegant plant, long admired for its ornamental appeal, is rendered with great care, capturing the texture and curvature of each petal and leaf. In contrast, the jasmine plate features the slender, climbing stems of the plant adorned with clusters of small white star-like flowers and finely detailed green leaves, evoking its association with fragrance and timeless charm.
Both prints are in excellent condition, with vibrant colors and fine details preserved beautifully over time. Ideal for framing, they make a stunning pair for display in a home, office, or gallery space. Whether for antique print collectors, botanical enthusiasts, or admirers of vintage decor, these works provide a glimpse into the artistry and botanical exploration of the Victorian era while celebrating the enduring beauty of cyclamen and jasmine.
