Three plates from Favourite Flowers of Garden and Greenhouse, 1897: Nemophila insignis, cherry pie (Heliotropium peruvianum) and Venus' navelwort (Omphalodes verna). The set is original color-printed lithographs, each on its own sheet, lettered below the image with the plant name, its Latin name where given, and "Nat. size."

The first plate shows Nemophila insignis, the baby blue eyes of California, in a feathery stem with deeply cut leaves and pale blue flowers with white centers, with a brown seed and a young seedling drawn beside it. The second shows cherry pie, the garden heliotrope, in dense heads of lilac-purple flowers above broad, deeply veined green leaves, with a single flower and a section of the bloom drawn at the upper right and lower left. The third shows Venus' navelwort in a low tuft of green leaves with small blue flowers, the roots shown in white at the base and two enlarged flowers beside it.

Heliotropium peruvianum comes from Peru, and Nemophila insignis from California, while Omphalodes verna is a European groundcover.
